Division of Biology Senior Reception

Join us in honoring the graduating senior class of 2017 at our Senior Reception (hosted by BSSA), held on Wednesday, May 17 @ 7-9pm at the Loft! The event will be a formal Oscar-themed celebration commemorating the graduating class of 2017 to reflect their experiences and achievements as they prepare to leave UCSD for the next stage of their lives. This event serves as the final send off from our organization, in which seniors can gather together one final time for an evening dedicated to them, giving them a night of unforgettable memories they can look back on.
There will be a speaker, multiple performances on stage, a photobooth to upload and print memories of the night, as well as dinner (fine dining for both meat lovers and vegetarians) provided for each attendee. Awards will be handed out later in the evening. Put on your red carpet attire and come join us for a night to remember!

BSSA's widely popular Pie-a-Professor Fundraiser is back! After last year's triumph — VIDEO — we made a note of the huge success and are delighted to present to you the chance to pie your professor once again. This year, we bring back last year's reigning favorite, Dr. Keefe Reuther, along with strong contenders, Dr. Christina Johnson, Dr. Stephanie Mel, and Dr. Randolph Hampton!
So, be sure to donate during weeks 3–7! Collection boxes will be in your lectures and at BSSA events. The professor who raises the most money will be PIED IN THE FACE! That isn't all, though, for you will also be supporting BSSA and helping us continue to hold excellent events like this and many, many others, all for free. But, wait! Good things come in threes! And, indeed, not only will you be championing the pieing of a professor and supporting BSSA (your favorite UCSD org), but you will also be contributing to Feeding San Diego, a local hunger-relief non-profit organization. Half of the funds from Pie-a-Professor will be donated to Feeding San Diego! Even a dollar helps a lot, as four meals are covered by one dollar.
Donate during weeks three through seven and be sure not to miss the pieing during week nine or ten!
